Program Overview
The OklahomaRx Discount Card was established by the state of Oklahoma to:
- Combat skyrocketing drug prices, with potential savings of 10 to 55%
- Provide significant discounts on prescription drugs for Oklahoma residents
- Help families improve their health and well-being
- Provide a low or no cost prescription discount card
Individuals who do not currently have health insurance with prescription drug coverage (or those who regularly exceed their maximum yearly benefit for prescription drugs) will likely realize greater savings.
If your income is greater than 150 percent of the federal poverty level, there is a membership fee of $12.95 per year. If it is less than shown below, the membership fee will be paid on your behalf by the State of Oklahoma.

What type of discount will this new Oklahoma prescription discount card provide?
Discounts range from 10 to 55 percent, depending on what drugs you buy and where you buy them. To save money, choose generic drugs first. If you are taking a brand-name prescription, talk with your doctor about a possible generic or a covered nonprescription or over-the-counter (OTC) option. Often, a doctor can prescribe a less expensive, generic drug that works as well as the name-brand you are currently taking - but at a significant discount.
What medications are included in the program?
Drugs required by Federal Law to be obtained by a prescription are covered in the OklahomaRx program. Items not eligible for discount include durable medical equipment/medical supplies and OTC (over the counter) medications.
